I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Certified Addictions Professional in Miami, Florida. I specialize in treating a variety of mental health issues including life stress, depression, anxiety, and adjustment difficulties with adults and teens.
I grew up in Pensacola, FL and completed by Bachelor’s Degree at the University of Tampa. I then returned to Pensacola and completed a Master’s degree in Psychology. During the final year of the Master’s program, I worked in a residential treatment setting with teens helping them with mental health issues and addiction problems.
Following the completion of my degree, I moved to Miami and began working with adults in a residential treatment setting. During that time, I worked with clients from a diverse background and gained further experience in the areas of addiction, mental health issues, and life-adjustment difficulties. Meanwhile, I completed the requirements for licensure and became a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) and then a Certified Addictions Professional (CAP).
Seeking a new set of challenges and more independence in my professional life, I decided to enter into private practice. Since then I have enjoyed the new challenges that have arisen, the independence to work with a wider variety of clients as a therapist, and the ability to help clients at their own pace.
